All the works parties for 2008 have now been completed and the last one, on September 21st, was very successful. Thanks to all those members who turned up on the day (and the day before) and managed to eat all the bacon rolls.

Work has been going on over the summer to upgrade the entrance gates to electric opening. This was finally finished and they are now working. You no longer have to get out of the car to open the gates – how cool is that? Use the same code as before.

A major upgrade of the pontoon was undertaken with a large team of volunteers. If you’ve been down to the club since, you will have noticed that it is no longer listing to one side, and is much safer. A new float has been added to the end of the pontoon along with a larger decking area, new buffers have been added to the sides of the walkway to avoid damage to boats mooring up, and new white rubber edging is on order to go alongside of that. An excellent job, and one that hopefully will save all our boats from damage for many years to come.
